Techlivery | Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is a Super Android Entertainment Phone | The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is the phone that is going to be made the phone that is going to positioned just below the Xperia Arc at the top of the spectrum. This will provide Sony Ericsson with a suitable phone in this segment that also has the likes of the HTC Desire and so on. Hence, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo will be provide some vital competition from Sony Ericsson’s side, which is essential given that they make some of the best high end smartphones in the industry.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is going to be made available with a 3.7 inch touch screen display that is exactly similar to the HTC Desire, but the fact that the Sony Ericsson phone will be able to introduce a much higher resolution of 480 by 854 makes the new Sony Ericsson phone the best deal. The fact that the Sony Ericsson phone is also going to come with the Bravia Mobile technology also gives a major advantage to the Sony Ericsson phone. The Bravia Mobile technology is very similar to the technology that is used in the Xperia Arc. This will be making the best use of the huge amount of internal memory that is available at the disposal of the phone. In fact, it is 8 GB to be precise. This is the amount of memory that is provided by the external memory card that is present in the phone. The internal memory in the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo will be just 320 MB.

Hence, the external memory card makes up for it. However, the 8 GB memory that is currently present is not the maximum amount of memory that you can include in the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo. It can accommodate up to 32 GB worth of content without a problem. The phone is going to be available with connectivity options that will be starting with the 3G, Wi-Fi and going all the way towards the DLNA and the Wi-Fi Hotspot facilities. The latter two are really the cream of the connectivity features and to be present in the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo demonstrates the fact that this is a high-end phone that is capable of challenging with the HTC Desire HD, despite the pricing of it being low. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo will be introducing the ability to take high quality images by the absence of the eight megapixel camera in the phone. It is a camera that is going to have LED Flash, face detection and smile detection.

This is in addition to the features like the 720 p video recording option, which is also present in the camera. The 1 GHz scorpion processor does its job in the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and it is more than capable of handling the 2.3 version of the Android operating system present in the phone. It will be available straightaway in the new Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo instead of having you to go through all the updating process.

Sony Android tablet is now official

Tuesday, April 5th, 2011

Techlivery | Sony Android tablet is now official | Sony will in fact be releasing an Android tablet using Google‘s latest Honeycomb operating system. After earlier speculation all but confirmed Sony was working on a new multimedia Android-based tablet, the company’s CEO Howard Stringer announced it does exist and will be out by the end of the year.

It will feature a 9.4-inch display and will be “PlayStation certified” which means it can play original PS One games as well as other titles programmed specifically for touchscreen devices.

This continues Sony’s new found love of Android. The company’s mobile phone partner, Sony Ericsson, ditched Nokia‘s outdated Symbian OS for Android last year, and has since become one of the leaders in the market. The Xperia Play, known better as the “PlayStation phone,” is due out this month in the US and could revolutionize mobile gaming.

In addition, Sony will be releasing PlayStation software to all Android 2.3+ enabled phones later this year with a special app called PlayStation Suite.

Not too much is known about the Sony tablet at this point, but we do know it will run Android 3.0, Honeycomb, the optimal version of Google’s platform for tablet devices.

This is sure to increase Sony’s presence in the Android mindset, and could be one of the biggest threats yet to Apple’s current dominance in the market.
